OSports and League Park Society Join Forces
100 years after Osborn designed the original League Park, we have been asked to design a new concept.
Before there was Progressive Field (or Jacobs Field), before there was Municipal Stadium, the Cleveland Indians called League Park home. League Park saw Ken Keltner put an end to Joe DiMaggio's still unequaled 56-game hitting streak, the 1920 Indians won the World Series, Babe Ruth hit his 500th homer there and the Cleveland Buckeyes won the Negro World Series in 1945.
OSports (as Osborn Engineering) designed the park in 1909 and now, 100 years later, was naturally enlisted to help envision a restored iconic facility. The League Park Society has entrusted the design concepts to OSports with the goal of keeping the feel of the original League Park.
